Part of a 3 week, 4,600 mile epic journey on the National Geographic Explorer expeditionary vessel from February through March 2011 to Antarctica; featuring the South Shetland Islands, Antarctic Peninsula, and travel well south of the Antarctic Circle. Visits and landings to 11 key areas of interest along the Antarctic mainland and coastal islands. Subsequent travel to and through 17 visits and landings in South Georgia, (UK Sub-Antarctic Territory), and the Falkland Islands. Starting and ending in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego Patagonia, Argentina.
