Best Advice for Travelers
Do whatever you need to do and/or possibly can - to keep yourself in the best possible frame of mind and comfort level, so that you may enjoy and absorb the profound cultural experiences of travel.
There’s no point in saving a dollar on roughing it to such an extent that you’ll be tired, worn out and uncomfortable. You won’t enjoy the trip, you’ll project negativity to others that you meet along the way, and you’ll take that associated experience home with you forever, spoiling what would otherwise have been a fantastic memory of a vibrant foreign culture.
Take as much time as you can, but try not to waste it on logistics. If something’s unpleasantly unavoidable, then it’s just “part of the experience!”
When in doubt, just follow my motto:
“If you’re not living on the edge, you’re taking up too much space.”
